school development
EVERY child deserves an education
Education should be a right, not a privilege tied to one's finances
Among the many difficulties faced by children in impoverished settings is gaining access to education—and especially education of a high standard. The financial strain of school expenses—such as fees, uniforms, and supplies—forces many families to forego education for their children, as free options are unavailable.
This has MASSIVE consequences on a child's entire future.
We believe every child is entitled not only to an education, but to one of exceptional quality, in a safe and nurturing environment where they feel valued and cared for.
Rooted Oaks International works diligently to cultivate this vision within The Vineyard Nursery and Primary School of Rwanda. Nearly all 130 students from our advocacy ministry are enrolled in this school, alongside nearly 250 additional students from the surrounding area. The students come from diverse economic and family backgrounds—some with families who can afford the costs, and others who cannot. This beautiful blend of different circumstances creates a unique and united community within the school.

Areas of Continuous Focus & Need
space to educate
A quality education includes a safe environment. One that allows for class sizes to stay small enough for each child to receive the specialized care they need and to know they are seen. As the number of children in our school grows so does our need to expand. We are moving closer to being able to grow our campus, but this comes with a high financial need.

equipping teachers to teach
We strive to continuously provide teachers with the resources, knowledge, and support they need to educate to the best of their abilities. This means providing them with the trainings and supplies to be continuous learners themselves. As well as providing a curriculum that helps them to teach the children the necessary skills and knowledge.
caring teachers
Our desire is for every child to know how deeply loved and valued they are. To have school be a place where they feel safe and empowered. This means having teachers and staff who takes to heart the importance of every single child they encounter. To empower that child to be the unique person God made them to be.
